[16 Dec 2009|09:57pm] glortw I just googled "what to do when cat has a cold" and all results say it could turn into something serious, get her to a vet immediately. In no way can we afford this. Hipsters of the Universe drawings [15 Dec 2009|03:33pm] skeleteen I did these pretty quickly for a show in which the theme is drawings of hip youths and beloved childhood cultural stuff. It's supposed to go up arch 4th and is being put on by Floating World, in Portland. I thought I might try drawing my friends as Thundercats but my brain wouldn't let my hand do something so stupid for public viewing. To me doing Tintin as a dead punk and Captain Haddock as a biker fag worked better. The opening will be March 4th, 6-10pm at Floating World Comics, 20 NW 5th Ave, Portland. [14 Dec 2009|01:52pm] glortw i keep like getting the beginning of a cold, then it goes away. but now i think it's here. i went to bed atlike 6 pm last night, got up like 11 this morning. however you should understand that i'd gone to work at 10 am that day (yesterday) having had only one hour of sleep. but anyway. each time i woke up i couldn't breathe. it's so gross. tylenol cold & sinus or whatever, it does NOTHING i tell you. sooo i have to go to pp & get pills (it seems that can be done at Norristown or Ambler, if they get my chart from Castor..) , and the gym. then we shall see a movie and perhaps go to our usual haunts (El Bar, maybe P&P but maybe not cos I have work tomorrow.) soon we'll start going to different places. maybe. your neck and shoulders ever hurt from sitting at a computer (desktop) too long? mine do. my head hurts a lot so i'm going to go read. sorry journal = boring :( post comment

[12 Dec 2009|02:56pm] glortw it is annoying to have to drive 17ish miles just to get my ortho cyclen. this is the burden of being bi-house-al. wait i have to brush my teeth. brb. ok. i wish i could write more, but i've got to leave. yesterday ray came with me to my dad's office. we were hired to stuff envelopes of calendars and put labels on them and stamps and then they got sent to clients. it was boring but kind of fun because we were seeing who got more done. fyi i did. but then we went to marathon grill and holt's and i kept getting the vibe that ray was bored and/or annoyed and he kept saying he wasn't but i know he was..and it was just awkward. my dad and ray had a beatles trivia showdown sort of. their skill was pretty equal, except ray came up with more "songs with proper nouns in them". never use the conshohocken train station. there is no parking available ever and you have to park far away when it is painfully cold and you get in a bad mood and want to die. i miss my dad, i wish that i saw him more. well, i am scheduled to go to his house dec 23. i have to tell my boss that. she'll deal. i woke up with a wheezy sound coming out of me, and my right nostril entirely clogged. so i went back to sleep and did not go to the gym this morning. they should be open later than noon! oh well. i did better on thursday, when the thing told me i burned 450 calories. my head hurts. i'm going to go read magazines. 4 comments|post comment
