I'll be in Pennsylvania tomorrow to vote for Obama. You should vote, too. For Obama. It doesn't have to be in PA though.
Any result-watching going on? Can't do Obama-Bash Pt. 2 at the 'rents.

Maybe getting "Burning Hatred" tattooed across my stomach in an Old English typeface is a bad idea...

My apartment was broken into tonight, but they didn't take anything?
Update: So what happened is, today I worked a 14 hour shift. In Bay Ridge, so it took me an hour to get there and a bit longer to get back. I left my apartment around 9am and got back around 1:20am. My apartment is a railroad, meaning that there's 4 rooms connected in order. My room is directly connected to my roommate's room which is directly connected to the common room which is directly connected to the kitchen. My room has an entrance from the hallway, the kitchen has an entrance from the hallway, and the kitchen has a door to the backyard. My room is currently seperated from the rest of the apartment since my roommate has so much stuff, we blocked the door between the two rooms. He also usually keeps both his doors locked. So I came home, went into my room and dropped my bag and coat off. I went through the hallway to the kitchen, unlocked the door, and found out that the chain was on. I never seen the chain used before. I called out for Steve, knocked on the door, tried reaching for the chain. I figured he had his ear phones on or was asleep. Went back to my room to check if he was on Google Talk, he wasn't. I knocked on the door loudly between are two rooms and called his name, no answer. I called him, he didn't pick up, I left a message. I went back to the kitchen door and tried again to call him, knock, and reach for the chain. I realised I could probably unscrew it. I got my screw driver, unscrewed it, and went in. I set down the screws and screwdriver and then noticed the backdoor was opened a few inches and the ladder propped against it and the litter box in front of it were shoved out of the way. Also, one of my roommate's two cats was gone. I debated briefly on whether I should get out and call the cops or shut it. I shut it. I noticed that the deadbolt was mangled, so I shoved the ladder and litter box back up against it. I looked around and everything seemed as normal and in place as ever. None of my roommate's clutter or work stuff has been gone through. Even the divider he put up between the common room and the kitchen so that he didn't have to be disturbed by the people I show the apartment to was in place (yeah, he's that kind of weird antisocial jerk.) His room was still locked and it didn't look messed with. There was no way to get to my room except through his or through the hallway, so it was completely untouched. Then I called 911 and retreated back to my room. After an hour a cop still hasn't come. I called the precinct directly and was told that they were really busy tonight. I mentioned that it's not a huge deal, but I have a missing cat and I'm kinda afraid to go outside to look for it or go to sleep. Then I decided to just grab a flashlight and look for the cat. I put the other cat in the bathroom so it wouldn't to get out. Went outside, had a look around. I saw a cat that could have been my roommate's, but it ran away when I called the cat's name. I gave up and turned back to the doorway when I noticed the fucking prybar neatly placed against the door frame. It was made from rebar. Also, the actual bolt of the deadbolt was lying on the ground. I went back inside to hear a cat meowing, and it was Nina, the cat I was looking for. Must have darted in behind my back.
So I strongly believe that I came home as the burglars were in the apartment. I don't think _anything_ was touched really, and only one of the cats got out. The other cat that didn't got out came through the kitchen doorway when I was unscrewing the chain and also tried to go outside while I was in the kitchen. So I'm assuming I must have startled away the burglars before they got a chance to do anything after putting the chain on. But I didn't hear _anything_.
So now it's been almost 2 hours, and still no cops. I know, it's fucking Bushwick.
I'm strongly thinking that this might be a reason to move back to PA, which has been on my mind anyhow.
Update 2: Cops came by, cool guys. They told me basically there was nothing that can be done, and even my roommate would have to file a report if he had wanted to. I expected that, I mostly wanted them to be aware and come check it out so I could look for the cat. But they told me that crime has really been increasing in Bushwick, especially this area. A lot of white kids are getting jacked at gunpoint. And they told me to move to Bay Ridge, they wouldn't live here if they were being paid $2000. This made up my mine, I'm moving out. Possibly back to PA...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is good. Not great, not perfect, not the movie you probably wanted it to be, but it's still good. Totally worth spending $12 to see in a theater. Anybody worried about Harrison Ford being too old to pull it off has nothing to worry about. Ray Winstone and John Hurt are in top form as always. My main complaint is actually _not_ Shia, who actually was not annoying, but the movie doesn't quite _feel_ like the other three. I mostly chalk this up to the advances in movie making technology and practices since the first three were made, but this one also has a stronger Spielberg feel, I would say. And a strong sci-fi element, but it's fitting to the era and really no weirder than anything else in the series.

Anybody looking for a roommate or a room? My roommate is moving to Portland the beginning of August. I really like my apartment though and don't want to move.

I'll be in Blue Bell on Wednesday and Thursday, but I don't know what kind of time frame, I have to be back up Friday morning. I'll be back down later in the month and can hopefully hold OBAMA-BASH PART 1. on TUESDAY APRIL 22ND. Which is more of a gathering to watch poll results come in and see me and celebrate Obama's VICTORY. FINALLY. FUCK YOU, CLINTON. But let me know if you want to see me. Because I am awesome and my presence should be felt.
I got an XBox 360 and I'll finally be upgrading my computer. Go me. Now I want a PSP. I have less disposable income now than like ever and I'm finally catching up on gadget fetishism, don't ask me how.
I'm almost caught up on doing as little as possible. It hasn't been easy to get a chance to do as little as possible.
New Gnarls Barkley isn't any good, but then again, the highlight of the first album was a Violent Femmes cover. Should tell you something.
Is it on? Is it off? Reply.

This journal has officially gone Friends Only. If I deleted you and you'd still like to read my journal, just leave a message and I'll likely add you. I'm not picky about such things. If I know you in real life, I probably kept you added.
I remind you all that clifhenning is for comic-related posts. Eventually there will be an RSS feed off of clifhenning.com's blogs and comics whenever I finish with it, which shouldn't be much longer honestly. I'll publically update when that happens, of course.
Now I get to make a stupid fucking "friends only" banner.

I'll be in PA on the 20th until the 22nd. Let me know if you want to see me. Or if you want to go see National Treasure: Book of Secrets or Walk Hard with me.
Sometime this week this Livejournal is going Friends Only and will be reserved for whatever personal updates or musings I want to give, which probably won't be much. Livejournal is a void and has been for years. I'm going to make over clifhenning.com with a blog to be used for everything else. clifhenning will be used for any comic updates, if it's not superseded by an RSS feed. Don't expect a redesigned clifhenning.com or any comic content until January. Still working 52-56 hours a week in Bay Ridge (which means around 8 hours of travelling on top of that).
So add clifhenning now if you care about my comics and let me know if you want me to keep you on when this journal goes Friends Only.
